Pr Nicolas ANDRÉ​

Pr. Nicolas ANDRE (MD, PhD) is the Head the oncology early phase clinical trial center (CEPCM) at AP-HM for both adults and children and Deputy Vice-President for Health at Aix Marseille University.

He is also heading the SMARTc research unit within the CRCM (Center for Research on Cancer of Marseille) in Marseille focusing on preclinical pharmacology​.

He is a pediatric oncologist, a researcher, and professor in pediatrics at Aix Marseille University.

Pr. André has published over 150 articles in major journals including Nature, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Blood, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, and he has been a reviewer for among others the Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Cancer, Sciences Translational Medicine, Cancer Research.

His research interests focus on clinical, translational and basic research in pediatric tumors (brain tumors), pharmacology of anticancer treatment, and new drugs. He is an international leader in the field of metronomic chemotherapy. Convinced that scientific and medical progress cannot go without social progress he co-founded and is leading the Metronomics Global Health Initiative (metronomics.org) which aims at promoting the use of metronomics for patients living in low and middle countries.​
